In loving memory of Louise Isherwood who sadly passed away peacefully on 5th November 2019
Louise was born in Rangoon, Burma (now Myanmar). Her mother was a nurse and pianist. Her father was French and held various posts. She had one brother, Adrian and two sisters; June and Claudette.
When the Japanese invaded Burma in 1942, Louise was sent, by boat, to live with her maternal grandparents in Bangalore, India. She attended a catholic school there and completed a business studies course. Her parents split up when she was 18.
She came to Plymouth with her father and sisters, working as a receptionist. In 1953 she married Tom Connett in Exeter and had two children; Gary and Martine.
Having divorced in 1975, she remarried in 1978 and moved to Bournemouth but divorced again in 1985.
She then came back to Exeter and lived quietly and happily for many years in Newtown. She later moved to Whipton before moving into a residential care home in Ebford in 2016.
Louise is survived by her two children, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
