In loving memory of Leslie James Stafford who sadly passed away on 25th October 2019, aged 86 years.
'Les' will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Family flowers only may be sent by 1.00 pm on Thursday 21st November 2019, c/o John Weir Funeral Directors, 130-132 High Street, Rainham, Kent, ME8 8AR. Telephone No: 01634 373111, or if desired donations may be made by cheque or via this site for Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex, Demelza House or Macmillan Nurses.

Les was born 20 June 1933 & lived his early years in May Road, Gillingham. He served his apprenticeship as a Coppersmith at Chatham Dockyard. He married his first wife Joy 24 July 1954 at St Barnabas Church, Gillingham.
Les was a great musician playing Accordion/Keyboards in various dance bands.

Les was also a keen member of the local bowls club where he met my Mum Rose. Sadly Joy passed away & Rose & Les's friendship grew. Rose & Les married at Chatham Registry Office on 25 March 2000. They spent many happy years together enjoying many holidays, especially cruises.
