Sue Tomkins donated £30 in memory of Brian

Hey funny man. I remember your wedding & I remember seeing you just a few months ago, still with a cheeky smile on your face, sometimes life is too short. Sleep in peace, knowing that your being here made the world a better place xxx

  • Thankyou. Sue. Means a lot to us. The eulogy is funny too. He wrote some of it! Was well known for his very, very dry sense of Humour. Had his carers(Brians Babes!) in stitches as it sometimes took a few mins before they realised what he had said then burst into giggles. Some of the things they had to do for him were very degrading and sensitive but mostly done with humour for all of them including Brian himself. I certainly could not do their job as they were also the end of life team. Sometimes wondered what they got up to in the bedroom with all the laughter that went on. As they said to me, what went on in the bedroom/bathroom stayed in the bedroom/bathroom. He kept his sense of humour even on the last day. Was rarely downhearted and miserable even though he could only breathe in gasps.
