In loving memory of Richard Maurice Whibley who sadly passed away on 31st October 2019.

Dik had been unwell and in hospital over the past few months. He was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma but despite beginning treatment reached the end of the road. He passed away peacefully with his family around him.

Dik worked at Abbott Laboratories for many years. Since his retirement he spent his time volunteering at Sittingbourne Heritage Museum and at the local radio station SFM where he did many things including presenting the Electronic Music Show and working on Rock N Roll Memories. He took up bowls at the Swale Indoor Bowls club where he enjoyed the Saturday breakfast club as well as leagues and competitions.

We hope that his family and the many friends he made along the way can look back on some great memories of him. If anyone would like to share their memories with us either privately or on this page we'd love to see and hear them. Funeral details can be found on this page for anyone who has time and would like to attend. We have chosen for donations to go to the Air Ambulance as this is a charity Dik supported as well as following their work on Twitter and seeing them many a time at Rochester Airport.

With Thanks and Love,
Jen, Stu, Kirstin & Mark

Happy memories of Dik as a colleague of mine from Abbott Laboratories. He was always professional and helpful. We supported the computer systems and I remember many late nights working together when we put systems 'live' or sorted problems. A very kind man who I felt lucky to have known. RIP.

I couldn’t have asked for a nicer father-in-law. A donation in memory of the cause he loved. He will never be forgotten.
