Just said a final good bye to Patty and the following is on behalf of all the staff and customers of Corts and Torts Wine Bars. It was read at the Queen Mother's funeral but its Patty that adds the class.....

She is gone
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all that she has left
Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her
Or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember her and only that she is gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Rest in Peace , Patty and thank you for the 5 * service.

Dear Patty
I shall never forget your words of wisdom while having cigs outside the Cardi. Also the evening I came to try on your original flapper dress and authentic 1920's shoes. Such a generous ladie. Your fabulous tips on make up, glamor and those fabulous eyelashes.
What a lady!
So very sad that we will never see you by Sally's side. You where one in a million. Rest in peace my dear friend.
Love always Claire , Bruce and Yasmin. Xxx

Patty was a very special lady, whose volunteering at YMCA Hawker made such a difference to the service there. She worked so hard, for which we are very grateful. Her interest in people and her natural warmth impacted on so many. We really miss Patty.

I shall never forget our dear Patty. She was a very big part of my life and my family's life. She saw me through some very tough days. Always supportive, always encouraging, always kind and always managing to make me laugh. She was so many things to me - the closest of friends, like a mum, cooking the best roast dinners, shopping partner, teller of some fascinating stories, so glamorous, groomed to perfection, hardworking, vibrant. Beautiful inside and out! A huge personality that touched so many people in different ways. She touched my life and my family's' for which I will always be eternally grateful. We had some amazing times and so many laughs along the way. Memories that will be with us forever.

Patty was my inspiration, my hero, my confidant, my counsellor, my family.

Sally - you are amazing and Patty would be so proud of you and your strength. She was always so proud of you.

You, John, Georgie and Fran were her life. Patty will be watching over you all and beaming with pride and always in our hearts.

We love you Patty and will miss you more than words could ever say.

I love you all like family and I am there for you as you have all been for me and my family.

All our love,

Annie, Terry,
