Funeral Director
In loving memory of John Edward Dutton who sadly passed away on 13th October 2019, at home surrounded by his wife, children & family who all loved him dearly.
Known to many as Dutton.
A loving husband to his wife Maureen.
A caring father to his four children, John, Maxine, Gaynor and Yvette.
Along with 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Being a miner for over 30 years and an electrician down the pit, Dutton enjoyed a pint or two after his shift in The Miners Welfare. He loved to have a night out with his wife Maureen in their local, George Street Working Men's Club.
Dutton was a keen gardener and loved being in his garden, especially growing his tomatoes every year. He loved having marigolds in his garden which he would carefully dry out and re-plant them every year.
He also loved playing his grand piano which he has in his front room. He loved playing his classical music down the garden and tinkering in his shed
He enjoyed the sunshine and nice weather. He loved his holidays going abroad with his wife and friends on trips to Benidorm, Ibiza, Cyprus and Greece plus many more other amazing places. He also enjoyed many trips to Scarborough Barbara as we all would call it, enjoying his last holiday in September before falling Ill.
Dutton has been a brave & strong man all his life battling with several illnesses. But 6 years ago he was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease and 2 years ago he was also diagnosed with Dementia alongside his Parkinsons. He has faced daily battles with being unable to do things he previously enjoyed doing especially his walking down to Linby & Papplewick over the rangers. Even through all these battles he never lost his sense of humour.
The last 18 months of his life Dutton has been through so much, with multiple hospital admissions & 6 pneumonias. He was a fighter even until the end.
We hope as many of you as possible can join us to celebrate Duttons life & remember all the great things he did & memories we all share.
Family flowers only please.
