Peter,
For over 40 years you and Betty, Bob and I were best friends sharing happy, and not so happy times with our families and spending Christmas Eve together for many years.
We had regular weekly visits to restaurants and pubs around Kent where we put the world to rights and laterly discussed our ailments. There was always so much laughter, what good times we had.
Eventually age and health problems caught up with us. We couldn’t get around so easily. Out outings stopped but we still got together. Then Bob died and early this year you lost Bet.
Your lovely family were there for you and you were blessed with a great granddaughter, but you were lost without Bet and your health deteriorated. You were suffering and in pain.
Now Pete you are free from pain and with your beloved Bet, maybe you have met up with Bob. I hope so. You are all gone but I have my memories, until I join you.
Much love
Brenda x

In loving memory of Peter Anthony Goee who sadly passed away peacefully at Medway Maritime Hospital on 5th October 2019, aged 84 years, surrounded by his family.
Peter was born on 24 February 1935 to Evelyn and Tony Goee. After a happy childhood he completed his National Service in the RAF and married Betty Barlow, their marriage lasted 62 years until Betty sadly passed away on 1 January 2019.
Peter gained his indentures in carpentry and woodwork was his love. So much so that in his retirement (and on crutches) he made 3 rocking horses for the grandchildren. He initially worked for Medway Buildings who were taken over by Elliott Group where in the 1970's he went to Saudi Arabia and completed projects for schools. Elliott Group then formed Fineline Windows where, after 30 years service, Peter worked his way up to being a director of the company. Peter was a workaholic, wanting to provide the best for the family and family life meant everything to him. He filled his weekends visiting his parents, taking Ian & Nicola to the seaside and on holidays in their youth.
After retiring at the age of 70 his final hip operation was performed which was unsuccessful leaving him no option but to have both hip implants removed, due to serious infections, in 2013 and 2014 respectively. The result was that he was unable to walk at all and became housebound.
Life then just became an existence for him at this point but he tried to stay positive. Hobbies then for him were reading, playing Sudoku, watching television, talking to his cousins on the telephone and enjoying visits from friends and family.
After losing Betty he was heartbroken and longed to be with her. Sadly he became bed-bound and in April Peter was admitted to hospital with a serious infection and it was decided that he needed full-time nursing care. His health gradually deteriorated and he spent many weeks in hospital until he was released of his long-suffering pain.
Peter was a fun, loving, caring husband, father, granddad and great granddad who was loved dearly and will be missed greatly by all. The family have comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and is with his beloved Betty.
