As Darran's 'Little Brother' I and my Family knew Scott for a long time. He was a good man. He liked a laugh but he didn't have a malicious bone in his body. He lived his life on his own terms and he knew his own mind. We'll miss him.

Still can’t believe I’m writing this message.
My football manager for nearly 10 years and a big part of my life growing up.
Some great memories on and off the pitch, Football games running the line with a flag in one hand and a fag in the other, football presentations where you had a couple too many beers and said we were going to fly home as there were no taxis, picking me and woody up in your dodgy Lancia that took a few start ups to get going and then a personal highlight I know in your life on Woodys stag do where you must have said 20 times over the weekend you were having such a good time being with your son seeing him all grown up with his friends.
An unbelievable achievement climbing Everest rest in peace you legend

My first football team after moving from London to Clacton was Clacton United, Scott was the manager, a lovely man who was always very welcoming! Was great to see him when we arranged a re union a couple years ago - a very sad loss!

I dont know where to start .... you and rosie was there through my toughest time in life sometimes I didnt even have to say anything and you just knew. I'm gonna miss our chats and hugs but live in comfort that you came to see me just before you left to go on your climb. You had a heart of gold and I'll never forget you my true and good friend RIP xxx
