I have only heard that Laura passed away . I went to both primary and secondary school with Laura . She was always kind , honest and always up for a laugh . She introduced me to Hairspray with Ricki Lake in and Grease . We lost contact when we went to uni but met up again on Facebook . Sending my sincere condolences to her family and friends who I know will miss her dearly xxx

We were lucky enough to know Laura throughout her time in Nottingham and will always remember her for her infectious sense of fun, her caring nature and most of all for her amazing ability to remain cheerful at all times.

We were so sad to hear of her passing. She was a truly special person.

I met Laura in Nottingham when we were doing our PhDs. We all had an absolute ball together! She was one of the kindest, most considerate people I knew. When I think of Laura I remember her gorgeous red hair, big smile, drink in hand dancing away.

Laura always put others first. Even when she broke the news of her awful diagnosis she was thinking of others and telling us all to check ourselves. I feel privileged to have known Laura and to have such amazing memories of our fun times together🥂

I could only find a couple of pictures of Laura (I’m not one for taking many photos). Both, unsurprisingly, when we were all a little worse for wear!!

Sending lots of love to Laura’s family and friends. You are all very much in my thoughts ❤️❤️

I was lucky to have known someone as wonderful as Scarlett and I am so sad she has gone. She is one of the warmest and kindest people I have known and I was in awe of how she handled her illness with positivity and grace.
We had such fun during our PhDs in Nottingham. I will always remember her laugh and smile and think of her singing her heart out when she was dancing in town.
Sending lots of love to all her family and friends xxx

We will remember Laura for her kindness, positivity and for the fun times we had in Nottingham during our PhDs. I’ll also remember her for the yummy veggie lasagne which she made me for lunch on my wedding day.

Sending love and condolences to all Laura’s family and friends. Our thoughts will be with you over the coming weeks, months and beyond.

We have shared some photos of fun times in Nottingham.

With love,

Posting another message to conclude after the funeral today.
I met Laura after her uni days when I was born but it’s clear she’s always been a right party animal😂
Laura was a highly intelligent woman, she’s always come off to me as very studious and is an inspiration to me to get good grades in school, sometimes giving me a kick up the you know what if my marks weren’t up to par.
Laura was an amazing chef, my favourite things she would make would be stir fry or brownies, she definitely made a killer brownie. She definitely was an amazing chef, with a great capability to make up her own recipes and be creative.
She was incredibly dedicated to her family, her mum, siblings, nephew and I. She wanted the best for everyone, and had very admirable in her nurturing qualities, always wanting to provide for her family. She was very similar towards her friends.
She cared very much about her appearance, eyebrows, makeup, skincare. She was very particular about her appearance. She had a wide makeup and clothes collection. An almost never ending supply of shoes of every style, from welly boots to ballet flats. Clothes in every colour, every style.
Her personality was one of a kind, caring, studious, strikingly gorgeous, witty, funny, all of the good adjectives I could ever think of.
Laura will be remembered forever, her impact on the world, however small, massive to everyone around her. She touched many lives. On her lowest days she would still be laughing and joking. Her illnesses never caused her shortcomings, something I will always acclaim.
Thank you, for some of the best times in my life.

Laura is my little sister and friend. I love her so much. I never had the pleasure of knowing Laura when she was a child but
I have seen the pictures and she was adorable.

I met Laura when she was a young woman.

laura welcomed me with opon arms and an open heart. She was a strikingly beautiful with stunning red hair . A warm hearted charming young lady

Laura moved to nottingham to do her PhD.
She lived with us for a while before getting her own house just round the corner

We became very close during this time with and had many good time times doing girly things and having fun. She was great fun to be with with a brilliant zest for life.
A girl after my own heart loved creams, lotions and potions makeup
Shoes and hadbags

There are many experiences I shared with Laura. To many to mention but a couple come to mind we were go the both bridesmaids for Sharon when she married Jamie. Which was a great honer for me

We shared the millennium night together.
Steve was also there everybody though the worlxd was going to end so we partied hard. And if I remember correctly we had no major food shopping in for the next day and all the take away were closed

One I remember and we were only talking about it the other day is when we went to American adventure with Sharon and little Stephen we did a free fall flying ride. Me myself am petrified of things like that but did not want to show myself up in front onà4and my little sister. She was saying the she was more scared because she had to pull the realese cord .

We also had a tradition of buying our presents for mum together.
Which we both enjoyed. It was our thing she used to say

When i returned to full time employment and my wife su took over the birthday and Christmas card list she was forever in contact with Laura have I sent this card did I send two . Text me when they arrive. Su called her her affectional her PA girl.

As you may or may not know. I myself was
ill a few years ago and Laura and mum were up and down to nottingham . She was there with me through it all by my side. Fixing me up ,
doing my hair. Putting my makeup on . Mostly taking it off and redoing it as I had messed it up.

What she was doing for me was so special. She knew me and knew what was important to me even though it may seem trivial to others. She knew, and she catered to my every wim with the same kind selfless heart she looked after everbody she loved And cared about

Laura handled her illnesses with amazing courage and dignity. Even at her lowest points she was witty and laughing. She was so positive and upbeat she made it less painful for all around her.

I spoke to her every evening, with the odd exception, we would talk and laugh I really enjoyed our chats. She never ever complained and was more concerned with the impact her health issues were having on others rather than herself. She is truly An inspirational person

Laura was not expecting to leave us, but she told me she was not afraid of death. She was only concerned about those she was leaving especially her mum who she loved unconditional

I will miss Laura so so much as I am sure we all will. I feel honered to have shared so many precious times with her. I only wish there were more times to share

I would like to thank everybody who was there for laura there are many people who love an cherish her as much as me
