Such sad news. Jim ‘Mr B’ was a top teacher and friend. I’ve got great memories of him especially at school youth club. I often saw him in recent years leading his walking groups, or around Stapenhill. He always had time for a chat and to ask how the family were.
He did such a lot for so many people. Condolences to his family.
RIP Mr B xx

  • My very belated condolences to you, and family. I lost contact with Jim but often wondered how he fared and hoped he found peace and happiness in his life after turmoil in his twenties. I found the answer in the tributes paid here. I learned only yesterday, 21 December 2021, of his death. RIP Joe Molloy (former neighbour, school companion, and friend).

I will always remember the happy times shared with Jim over the many years I have known him Especially remembering the New Year Eves Jim spent in Croydon with me, Brian, Tom, Laura, Vicky and all our ‘gang’ friends. Such great parties we had. Tom, Laura and Vicky loved Jim staying with us and have fond memories of these times, in particular them waking Jim up early in the morning and jumping on him lying on the air bed on the lounge floor!!! Not having any children Jim was not used to this early wakeup call but found it amusing. He took everything in good faith. My children absolutely adored Jim and are devastated by him passing as I am too. I was so pleased I could attendJim’s ordination in July of last year, it was such a beautiful occasion and one which I will remember forever and feel honoured to have been invited to. Jim was in his element and had at last found his vocation, such a shame that he was taken too early to fulfil this role. Hopefully he is fulfilling this role in heaven now. Rest in peace Jim, you are missed by everyone who knew you. God bless you.
