This page has been set up in loving memory of Helen Castello, who sadly passed away at home on 25th September, aged 52.
Helen had Sarcoma which is a very rare type of cancer. 75% of the population have never heard of it! Sarcoma is found in the bones, soft tissue, or muscles and half of people diagnosed with Sarcoma will not survive.
This is because we don't know enough about the behaviour of cells in Sarcoma, and therefore the prognosis is poor. The only chance to improve the prognosis of Sarcoma patients is to raise awareness and funds for vital research. Cancer Research put £43 million into breast cancer last year, whilst only £3 million to Sarcoma. We are miles off a cure.
This is why we ask friends and family to not send flowers to the funeral, please donate anything you can towards Sarcoma UK, so we can get one step closer to finding a cure.
