I first met Roger(Ginna)Keates as I started my apprenticeship in 1964.
Although a bit of acharacter in his own right Roger always had time to give advice and instruction on how to actually learn the trade.
Make no mistake Roger was a skilled tradesman and very good at his job but at times took his"eye off of the ball"so to speak.
Although I had not seen Roger for a number of years I will never forget the years of my apprenticeship where Roger was concerned.
During the years of my apprenticeship both at work and socially they were always eventful with many happy days and some not so happy when Ginna was around.
Roger(Ginna)was always well liked and when you know a character like him you will never forget the man.
Roger was always willing to help a person who needed help.
Definitely not a man easily forgotten the happy days being associated with Roger far out weigh the not so happy.
All said with a very sad heart after learning of Roger's passing away.
RIP Roger(Ginna)
