In loving memory of Steve Simpson who sadly passed away on the 12th August 2019

Steve leaves behind his partner Pam and four children Ellen, Tom, Dan and Becky. His family and friends will miss his keen sense of humour, sharp wit, and words of wisdom.

Throughout his life Steve had a number of jobs including Cinema Manager and an early stint as an A&R man for a Blues record label (Big Bear). His later career was focussed in Financial Services, and he will be sadly missed by colleagues at FIS Global.

He had a lifelong passion for all types of music, and many of our fondest memories are from attending gigs and concerts with him over the years. He enjoyed watching football, rugby, cricket and tennis. We enjoyed many happy hours with him in the cold, wet and occasionaly scorching sun (a sun burnt head all but guaranteed).

Steve sadly succumbed to his battle with cancer, and for those who wish to mark their condolences we would ask for donations to Macmillan Cancer Support in place of flowers or other gifts.

Steve - you've had a letter from Mrs Trellis of North Wales!! Like me, she remembers your wit, your warmth and your friendship over many, many years. No punchline this time. RIP, mate. Nigel.

To Steve’s family. I’m so sorry for your loss. Steve was well respected and a positive influence on many people. He was intelligent, wise, funny (sometimes) and most of all interesting. I feel fortunate to have been his friend. He fought hard to the very end and will be greatly missed.
