RIP Steve. Only just found out, very sad news. I have some great memories working with you on Rumney SOC, some of the best times of my service, a great character.

Farewell my old friend. Now at peace. Many memories of happy times, chatting over a cuppa about our hobby and the occasional foray, searching for bits and pieces. Get searching up there in that big flea market in the sky. Bye mate......….Rest in Peace.

When you have cousins, you never have to worry about who will come to your birthday party! July 1950 and Stephen and Ron are easily spotted standing in front of Grampy Farr. You've left the world too soon Stephen.

  • Typical SA, the perfect gentleman and cheeky chap. RIP to one of the godfathers of CSI world, well respected and admired. A big hole has been left.

So sorry to hear of Steve's passing. He was my sergeant at Canton and was the most efficient and courteous colleague you could wish for. He was kind and caring with a fantastic manner in dealing with the public and often able to pour oil on troubled waters. Wonderful memories.

Steve, I need to tell you that I didn’t ask George Best for his autograph a second time as you requested when Cardiff played Fulham at home -I may have just given you a very good copy and you were so excited about it I didn’t have the heart to confess. I was going to tell you but......Please forgive me and say hello to George. Helen Evans
