I am privileged to have this opportunity to write this in memory of Professor Tim Hawthorne whom I met at QMC,Nottingham Medical School in 1988. He was such an amazing kind, gentle and generous person. My wife and I had the privilege of having a dinner with him and family. He helped me in many way as an African student at the University. I am glad to say that I am now a Full Professor of Medical Science thanks to this great and generous man who supported in my postgraduate studies!
My deep condolence to his family.
