In loving memory of Eric White who sadly passed away on 6th July 2019
Born in market rasen where he went to school along side his 2 brothers Ivor and Graham . Growing up gained the nickname ‘Chalky’. He had a variety of jobs including an apprenticeship at the WHSmiths in market rasen behind the counter he worked for British rail in London returning the to rasen to do some gardening work at De Aston school. He then found his way to Nottinghamshire where he had a Son Richard . This is really where my story begins with my dad - he met my mum Susan when he was driving busses for Travel Wright’s in Newark after finding out that mum was expecting he began a self employed career he started out putting up sale boards for William H Browns and moved steadily into gardening and chimney sweeping . I was then born Emma White in the early 80’s we had some amazing times together touring the country by steam train , narrow boat and caravan . I gave dad four beautiful granchildren India , Savannah , Ernie and Emilee . Eric White - my farther was truly one of the greats and if you were lucky enough to have known him then you where honoured , I couldn’t have wished for a better role model growing up and I will continue his legacy on through my children his words of wisdom are forever in my head and my heart . I do hope my words have given you a true picture of the man he was and I hope you have enjoyed reading .
