In loving memory of Geraldine Crooke who sadly passed away on 17th June 2019.
Geri, as she was known, was born in Exeter on November 26th 1989. She was the first child of Karen and Darren Hawkins and later became big sister to Steve and Georgi. Geri attended Sawtry College and then went on to get a 2:1 degree in Performing Arts at Carlisle University.
She met David at a 18th birthday party when him and a friend did a saucy plate dance! They married on September 10th 2011 at Coates parish Church, with best friends Mel and Laura and little sister Georgi as bridesmaids, and brother Steve as an usher.
She had a variety of jobs and made many friends along the way before she found her ideal place with Kath and Tim at 20 Twenty Productions based in March Town Hall. She also became good friends with Marian with whom she shared many interests including the book club and the bulk buying of food and toilet rolls!
This is also where she met Glen who became her work husband and fellow performer, along with Chris and Jodie, in their performance theatre group Alternate Orbit.
Geri was an outgoing friendly person who enjoyed meeting people and living life to the full. When injuries allowed, she enjoyed playing netball, going swimming and working out in the gym. She even completed a mini triathlon, the Muddy Run and numerous Races for Life with her Mum. She was also mum's partner in crime at Christmas fairs and numerous outdoor cinema events.
