Thomas and I first met Peter and Christine at the Mariela, Polis approximately 20 years ago. We spent many a time with them and the usual regulars either there or at Costas Corner and sure enough every time we returned to Polis we would catch up again and have our usual laughs. We have very fond memories of those times and they will stay with us forever. I can honestly say that Peter was a true gentleman and Peter and Christine are one of the loveliest couples we have ever met. I will always remember when Peters daughter turned up at the Mariela as a surprise and the joy that this brought to both Peter and Christine. We are truly saddened to hear about Peter and I know he will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Christine and Julie-Anne. xx

Dear Peter, already the first time I met you and Chris you were both treating me like a familymember. You both let me know that I was always welcome to join you for dinner if I didnt want to go out by myself. You were always looking after me, making sure I was ok.

We had a lot of nice talks. Funny talks, serious talk, and I love to hear you tell about the "good old days". For me it was like an alive history-book.

I always looked forward to see you both again when I returned to Polis.

Im happy I got the chance to celebrate your 80th birthday with you and your lovely family. We both knew that would be the last time we saw each other, but we let it be unsaid. Your goodbye greeting was " See you in Polis next year, fingers crossed".

Even if you are gone, the memories will always be there. Rest in peace Peter

I first met Peter and Christine when I had my first holiday at the Mariela in Cyprus 16 years ago. Peter and Christine had been going there already for many years. They made me so welcome. I became what Peter called one of the 'repeaters', guests who went back year after year. Among my happiest times were the late evenings at the Mariela when 'repeaters' and 'first timers' would join Peter and Christine at the hotel beach bar, having a few glasses and what the Irish would called 'good craic'. What a delight it was! At the centre of this was Peter, kind, humorous, clever and always such great company.

My heart goes out to the lovely Christine and Julie-Anne in their sorrow.

Peter, I'll miss you so much. Thank you for your friendship. Kalinichta.

We knew the end of the night was near when Pambos brought Christine's special i.e her hot chocolate.

My heart goes out to Christine, a lovely lady in every way, and to Julie-Anne. I met Julie -Anne only once when she made a surprise visit to her mum and dad in Cyprus. It was a joy to see the love and respect they had for one another.

Peter, I'll miss you so much. Thank you for your friendship. Kalinichta.

O mio babbino caro; my beautiful, proud, private, protective, stubborn, loyal and loving Daddy. Brave to the very end, you certainly did it your way. It was an absolute privilege to care for you, what a lucky girl I am to be so loved. I shall carry you within my broken heart every day, and miss you for eternity. Julie-anne xxx
