When I heard the news that you had passed away it literally took my breath away, you always made me smile and laugh out loud when I would see at transplant clinic. Thank you for being such a great doctor and a genuine person!

Hi Alan my friend, Everybody else has said what I wanted to say. We first met in 13 Squadron, 8 Regiment RCT in Germany and to start with because we were in different troops we didn't actually become good friends until you brought me home just before Christmas 1973 or 74 in your little yellow Austin Mini with someone else. You then brought me back to camp on the 23rd the day after my birthday and the day after my family moved house. Since then we have been good friends both on and off the phone and we always had a laugh. I will miss you very much my friend and one day we will meet up again and maybe have a beer together in that lovely pub up there in heaven that I've been told about, lol. R.I.P. my friend and remember all your family and friends love and miss you loads as well. Loads of man hugs to you my friend.
