In loving memory of Susan Lesley Cave (Sue)who sadly passed away on 28th June 2019, a much loved beautiful daughter, mum, wife, sister and friend. Loved, cherished and missed by all who knew her.
Sue was born in 1954 to Betty and George Gale, she had an older brother Steve. She was born in Colliers Wood, moving to Mitcham in 1964.
Sue married Tony in 1974 and their eldest Alex was born while the new family lived in Southampton. Shortly after they moved to Springfield Road Verwood and Daniel and Laura followed.
In the mid eighties the family moved to Dewlands Farm, where Sue lived until she died. The family had a great social life, and many friends in Verwood they also enjoyed many foreign holidays and have great memories of these special times.
Tony and Sue split in the early nineties and Tony left the family home. At this time Sue began her university education she undertook a social work masters degree and went on to work for Hampshire Social Services.
It was during her time at uni she met Ian and in 1996 he moved into Dewlands Farm. They spent 23 happy years living together before her sad passing.
Sue retired from her job 5 years ago to spend more time with her 5 grandchild who all adore and miss her enormously.
Sue and the whole family were devastated to learn of her cancer diagnosis in March this year, but Sue fought it bravely with admiral optimism, always trying to protect her loved ones.
It is with a broken hearts that we share this sad news and the family would like to encourage everyone to remember Sue as the vibrant, energetic beautiful woman that she was.

Our lovely sue. Today at Bournemouth crematorium your friends and family came together to say goodbye. It was an amazing time spent together listening to all the tributes to you and coming together to remember you and all the wonderful times we spent with you as individuals and in groups. We all had special memories of you I am sure, for me,the one that sticks out in my mind is when I moved into your 'old' caravan in your garden at Dewlands.. You hated the fact that it was, in your eyes, very dirty, I didnt worry me, but was touched by your concern!
Sue,We have been together through life's ups and downs, for many years, and latterly even found ourselves working together for Hampshire county council, children's services!! You were a bloody good social worker, and earned the respect of colleagues for your professionalism and fairness..
When Hannah came along you embraced her and she quickly identified you as 'auntie Smartie Sue' , for obvious reasons!
I could go on recalling so many times, events we have shared over the years but there isn't room time here to do that.
My darling Sue I/ we, will you miss you SO much. We and the world are a sadder place without you in it, but a richer place for having had you in it and in our lives..
Xxxxxx
RIP
'Snuze'
(Sue, Dave and all the family.. )

Dear Sue

The sad news of your passing came as a shock to me and many other fellow dog walkers.
We spent a lot of time putting the world to rights whilst out walking the dogs.
You became an amazing friend that helped me through a lot.
We had some right laughs together, mainly shouting across the common to find out where Kai had disappeared to, or shouting that Tulip was with me and having to do another walk round as she wouldn’t go on her walk without Kai.
Getting knocked over on a daily basis when the dogs flew past us and picking each other up of the floor.
Our wonderful chats across the gate will be sadly missed.
I’ll miss your beautiful smile, your infectious laugh and just you been the loving, caring person that you are.

You were taken far to soon my lovely 😔
Thankyou for just been you. We will miss you more than words can say.

Rest in peace beautiful 🌻
Love Keri and family xxxx
