In loving memory of Peter Spencer who sadly passed away on 20th June 2019.

Survived by us, his loving children Simon, Christina and Tyler; there will be a memorial service at Clayton Burial Ground at 1:30pm on 11th July 2019 so that everyone who knew and loved our father can pay their respects and celebrate his life. Please arrive at 1:15pm at the latest. The wake will be held after the service at the Jack & Jill Inn which is 5 minutes walk from the venue.

We find great comfort in hearing stories and kind words about our father; and we would love to hear yours. We believe that while he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in these stories that each of you have. We have created an email address which only his older children will have access to and would ask that you share some of these memories with us.

Simon and Christina Spencer

Shocked and greatly saddened to learn rather belatedly of the passing of Peter. We knew eavh other from school days in Brentwood, and Peter introduced me into broking at Lloyd's.
Our career paths digressed and we would only very occasionally meet up for a chat over coffee or a beer, and those meetings I hold to always be memorable. Having retired from the insurance market 4 years ago, I missed the news of Peters demise. My thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP old friend.
P.S. my wife Gill (nee Weavers) was similarly dismayed to learn the sad news. In a convoluted way, I met Gill via Peter and his then friend Josephine Lang.

You’re the perfect example of why life isn’t fair sometimes. But equally, I was so, so lucky to have you as my father. You taught us so much, and most of all how to care for people and how to be kind. I’m so proud of you and to be your daughter xxx

Dear Peter. You will be sorely missed. Meeting up with you always put me in a good mood. Business meetings with you were never boring; there would inevitably be some good stories and a lot of laughter. Rest in peace, my dear friend.

Rest in peace Peter. Your amazing, fun-loving energy is so sorely missed. I’ll never forget the fantastic Spencer family weekend in Hamburg seeing Billy Joel, and your infinite patience and kindness with my rubbish cycling! Lots of love xxxxxxxxxxx
