In loving memory of Leonard 'Len' Victor Allen Peters who sadly passed away on 28th May 2019
Len was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. He was kind, considerate and would do anything to help others. Those who knew him well, would know how passionate he was about all types of sport but his favourite of all was his football. He never had a favourite team as such but he followed Southend United and of course England.
He enjoyed a good game of cards, especially poker nights and would love to advise others on how they should've played their hand.
Len had 3 children which of course were all girls and although he loved each one dearly, deep down he always wished he could've had boys too, to share his love of sport with. luckily he was later blessed with twin Grandsons and soon after a Granddaughter too. He cherished every moment with his grandchildren, he'd take them to the park, go to the cinema, go crazy golf and much more, I believe this was because, from the year 1999, he was unfortunately diagnosed with Cancer.
He was certain that he wasn't going to live long enough to see any Grandchildren let alone be a part of their growing up. Len fought long and hard, suffered the awful side effects of Chemo but thankfully got through it and managed to stay in remission till the day he passed. Sadly, he was diagnosed in 2015 with bowel Cancer which again he fought and pulled through but finally he was diagnosed with pancreatic Cancer and unfortunately this was the one that he couldn't beat.
No matter how much he went through, he still lived life to the full and for 80 years old, you would not believe how much get up and go he had.
He will be missed so very much but at least he is no longer suffering.
Heaven has gained another true Angel.
