This page is in loving memory of Alistair Peel who sadly passed away on 2nd June 2019. Alistair was a wonderful father to Maddy, 13 and Rani, 11 and husband to Catherine. His energy, love for life, laughter and enthusiasm was an inspiration to everyone who knew and loved him. Ali lived life to the full, from running to wild swimming, cycling to mountaineering, and every sport in between, no mountain was too high for him to climb.

We invite everyone who loved him to attend the funeral (details right) and afterwards a Wake will be held at Petersfield Rugby Club* where he was an inspiring figure and coach to the Under 11s' team, and where he enjoyed spending his Sunday mornings.

Children are very welcome to attend the Wake as Maddy and Rani would love to see their friends.

Please note: Flowers only from family members, all friends please donate to the charities. Alistair was heavily involved with Cystic Fibrosis Trust and we have chosen State of Mind Sport in view of his passion for Rugby.

* Penns Place, Petersfield GU31 4EP

So sad to see this. Alistair worked with me at Lloyds in Andover around 25 years ago. We would go up to the running track and leave me eating his dust! A really inspirational man with a sense of mischief. Happy memories x

I worked closely with Al at Strabens Hall as he was a business partner in the Hong Kong company. Despite his best efforts to play it down, he loved his visits to Hong Kong as he loved the food and managed to go to the Rugby 7’s where he was totally in his element!
Aside from being a close colleague he was a good friend, whom I will miss dearly. He managed to make light of any situation and bring a smile and a big laugh to overcome challenges. He was a true gent, a people’s person.
I was lucky enough to have stayed with Al at his family home and also met Catherine, Maddie and Rani who I had heard so much about before I met them. Al was passionate about his family and always showed a genuine interest in mine too, which I will always appreciate.
My days will no longer be the same as I will miss his cheeky banter. However, he will always be remembered, and I feel privileged and grateful to have had the opportunity to have known him.

Oh Catherine I’m so so sorry to hear this devastating news. I still remember the day you met Al and then meeting him at his flat... the three of us on a date! And knowing immediately you’d marry him. And then spending the night at your mums house discussing wedding plans and how beautiful your children would be.... and how right we were. Seeing these pictures that people have posted just shows the Al I remember.. always smiling and always looking for the next adventure. A man completely in love with his wife and kids. I am so very sorry you have lost the love of your life my darling girl. 💕
