In loving memory of Crena Elizabeth Griffin who sadly passed away on 25th May 2019.
Mum grew up in Kent before moving to London in clubs and restaurants. She worked is a silver service waitress, moving to the Isle of Wight where she met the love of her life, Bill, who she would be married to for 51 years.
She kept our house going during dad's frequent work trips abroad, and rose two children as our family moved across the island, before settling in Reading. There she created a loving home, with fun and support while we grew up and spread our wings.
During several moves across Reading, she threw herself into new opportunities such as being an active member of a tenant association, taking on a job such as school lunchtime controller. When we moved to Tilehurst, mum started work at Royal Mail with dad.
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, music and travelling abroad. Throwing herself into being abroad, and usually doing her best to acquire brandy tumblers from waiters, while also sampling what the local coffee shops had to offer.
There is no doubt that mum had to put up with some issues over the years, what with dad's coughing and fainting issues, and his stroke presented challenges.
Mum passed away after a short illness. While we knew there was limited time, we didn't expect her to go so fast.
You will always be missed mum, never forgotten, and always know you were loved by all of us xxx.
