In loving memory of the late Dennis Howard Walden who sadly passed away on 3rd March 2015 aged 90 years

Laura Neville-Smith wrote

There's an apple tree in our garden at Happy Home; Mum and Charlie picked apples from it the other day and today nannie made us all a ridiculously tasty apple bake which we have renamed 'Blisworth Pudding'. Sometimes I feel my life experiences have made me a little too cynical to believe in fate, but sometimes I'm tempted to wonder. I thought of you at dinner tonight, Grandad W, surrounded by my incredible family who have been through the tough times with me, who I would be lost without, and never has my favourite saying been more true; 'Love, like starlight, never dies.' Miss you, Grandad, but think about you often. Laura xxx

I know we are all feeling a little bit sad,
That we've lost our Granddad, our friend and our dad
Together we have cried an ocean of tears
As we feel so empty and hold many fears

But Granddad would want us to know he's in a good place
And that he watching us all with a smile on his face
As we have made him so proud, as proud as can be
That he has raised such a beautiful and special family

Thinking back now I really must say
I feel lucky and privileged to have known Granddad to this day
For in my life, you have played a special part
The memories I will treasure and keep close to your heart.

To a Granddad, who would never fail to make anyone smile or laugh, whether it was with his fake million pound note that he insisted trying to pay with or his silly jokes. He will be truly missed, but our memories will live on forever.
Lots of Love
Delyth xx

It was years since I saw you last and now iv missed my chance, I am really sorry that is the case. But I have fond memories of when I was young and we would stay at your house. Every morning you would be down stairs whistling at your loudest , I'm sure to wake us up! Well it worked! The times I would sit in the chairs looking out into the garden with your binoculars. And not to forget the swing ball I'd play on for ages. Good memories that I will keep. You are bringing the family together but it's a shame you will not be there in person, but in spirit u will. So now I say goodnight and take care. Love Wes x

My Love Dennis,

A rose once grew where all could see,
Sheltered beside a garden wall,
And, as the days passed swiftly by,
It spread its branches, straight and tall......

One day, a beam of light shone through
A crevice that had opened wide -
The rose bent gently towards its warmth
Then passed beyond to the other side.....

Now, you who deeply feel its loss,
Be comforted - the rose blooms there -
Its beauty even greater now,
Nurtured by God's own loving care.

Love always,
Doris.

The Magic Penny

Love is something if you give it away,
Give it away, give it away.
Love is something if you give it away,
You end up having more.

It's just like a magic penny,
Hold it tight and you won't have any
Lend it, spend it, and you'll have so many
They'll roll all over the floor

For love is something if you give it away,
Give it away, give it away,
Love is something if you give it away,
You end up having more.

Money doesn't have magic in it,
Things we buy might break in a minute,
Love's a circle, so let's begin it
And bring it to every door

For love is something if you give it away,
Give it away, give it away.
Love is something if you give it away,
You end up having more.

So let's go dancing till the break of day,
And if there's a piper, we can play
For love is something if you give it away,
You end up having more.

For love is something if you give it away,
Give it away, give it away,
Love is something if you give it away,
You end up having more.

For a Grandad and Great Grandad who was truly magic in so many ways and will be much missed. Your love, courage, and humour will go on xxx

If roses grow in heaven Lord
Please pick a bunch for me
Place them in my father's arms
And tell him they're from me
Tell him that I love and miss him
And when he turn's and smiles
Place a kiss upon his cheek
And hold him for a while
Because remembering him is easy
I do it every day
But there is an ache within my heart
That will never go away

My dear dad thank you for always being there for me, I could not ask for a better dad than you. Rest in peace until we meet again.

Love you loads
Dennet xx

God will take care of you
Through every day, o'er all the way;
He will take care of you,
God will take care of you

It is enough; earth's struggles soon shall cease,
And God call us to Heaven's perfect peace.

Love you too Dad xx

So heaven has received another angel
The night sky another star
Your life has become a loving memory
I know you will never be far.

I know you are watching over me
As my life goes on
I will treasure the memories I have of you
I cant believe you're gone.

You were a loving caring grandad
You were there for me a lot
You will always hold a place in my heart
A loving treasured spot.

You were really one in a million
A cut above the rest
All that knew you would agree
You simply were the best.

So grandad I will say goodbye
I love and miss you with all my heart
But as long as I have my loving memories
We will never be too far apart.

❤️❤️❤️

We thought of you with love today,
But that is nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you in our heart.

Love Andrea and Peter

God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be,
So He put his arms around you
And whispered "Come to Me".
With tearful eyes I watched you,
And saw you pass away.
Although I loved you dearly ,
I could not make you stay.
A Golden Heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest,
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.

My dear, dear Dad I loved you so very much. Thanks for all the years we have shared together. You have made me who I am. You live on in me.
