I was beginning to think I'd upset Mark as its been about a a month since we spoke last and that's twice the norm really.after I'd been very ill 2 or 3 years ago Mark checked up on me regularly. I never told him but I really appreciated this connection and enjoyed his company immeasurably. We always found something to laugh about no matter what else was going on. It must be 25 years or so when we met at the priory lodge hotel in Sheffield and I'm grateful tohave known him so long. There's so much more I could say but I'm shocked and am thinking his family must have bore the brunt of this sadness and I offer my deepest sympathies for your loss. I posted a note to Mark before I knew what had happened and made a temporary repair to his window just hoping my fears wouldn't be realised.
I'll miss Mark more than I know how to say. Wherever he's gone to next they've got a good 'un. One of Scotlands finest and my best pal even though I never told him I just hope he knew.
Rest in peace.
