Christine and I met when we started Hunters Hall Infant school in 1949. We became best friends through our Infant and Junior school years. Although we attended different Senior schools we remained friends.
We had know each other for 70 years, and although sadly in the last few years we hadn't seen as much of one and other as I would have liked , she still had a place in my heart.

Rest in peace my funny, zany and very dear friend.

Criss and I have known each other since 1984 when she joined my Wheel of Yoga teachers training course. Together we have both taken classes at Billericay for the past 30 years. Criss was a wonderful yoga teacher who imparted her knowledge of yoga to a great many students over the years. She will be greatly missed by all her students and friends. When we were studying the Taittiriya Upanishad this passage was particularly helpful.

“There is a bridge between time and Eternity; and this bridge is Atman, the Spirit of man. Neither day nor night cross that bridge, nor old age, nor death nor sorrow.
Evil or sin cannot cross that bridge, because the world of the Spirit is pure. This is why when this bridge has been crossed, the eyes of the blind can see, the wounds of the wounded are healed, and the sick man becomes whole from his sickness.
To one who goes over that bridge, the night becomes like unto day; because in the worlds of the Spirit there is a Light which is everlasting.”

Om Shanti Shanti Shanti Om
