Dear Tony, DA, FIL - I had some fun times with you and James.

One memory that springs to mind is your trip to Spain to see your brother David and his wife Carole. Below is an extract from an email that James sent to your sister Jane P, it was in response to her question as to whether you had arrived safely!!

(a) changing his arrangements last night and getting a lift to Shalford
without telling me - I left work to get to Guildford for 18:50 in order to
meet him off the train from Haslemere only to see no sign of him when the
train pulled in. This prompted a mild phase of panic as I wondered
whether he was whizzing up to Waterloo, on his way to Portsmouth or at home fast
asleep. Phone call from Susie shortly after that confirmed he was waiting
outside our house; and

(b) dithering this morning despite time checks every ten minutes from 7:20
(when "I always get up at 5:30" was still in bed fast asleep), he managed
to be ready at 7:59, just in time for us to miss the 8:02 Shalford to
Guildford train which we needed to catch in order to connect with the 8:18
Guildford to Gatwick.

Luckily, Susie was up and about and drove us to Guildford in time and I
saw him off on the train to the airport. He agreed to ring me upon his
arrival.

Rest in Peace Dear FIL. You and James will be in my heart FOREVER XXXX
