Victor Edward Worlidge was born on the 21 of July 1944 in London to a loving family with 5 sisters and 1 brother. He joined the RAF at the age of 16 and there went on to have many years of service overseas where he met the love of his life Sheena. Vic and Sheena married and raised two beautiful children, Graeme and Terena. The pair were cherished by many around them, owned a number of shops, went on family trips every Sunday and all the while never stopped loving one another with the purest of affection many of us had ever encountered. Vic loved boats, motorbikes, fishing, airplanes, 50s and 60s music and, most of all, his family. He was the warmest and most selfless man, with a kickass sense of humour and always a kind deed to be done for anyone and everyone. In 1992 he welcomed his first granddaughter Callie, and Billie followed in 1997. Vic was the best grandad possible, one who always did his best to tease and embarrass his granddaughters but also who made sure they never had a reason to question the unconditional love that he held for them. He went on to have two great grandsons, Lewis and Leo, and showed them the same overwhelming pride that he always had, while never passing up on the opportunity to joke about how he put the 'great' into great grandad. He kept on his tradition of Sunday outings for many years with his and Sheena's wonderful best friends Pat and Ted - always heading to the seaside, the garden centre or another special place. In 2015 Vic had a severe stroke and lost many of his basic functions and sadly we eventually lost him on the 9th of May 2019. His last years were a mixture of sadness as well as joy and his passing released him from his pain and suffering to once again be with his darling Sheena, knowing that he left behind so much achievement, love and happiness. We will never forget him and know he is with us every single day. Thank you Vic, Dad, Father in Law, Grandad, Great Grandad, Brother, Son, Friend. It was a true honour to have known and loved you.
