In memory of a true gentleman. I only ever knew Howard as a business contact but he was one (of very few) that I genuinely had lots of time for and enjoyed speaking to. Having known him for more than 13 years he will be very sadly missed by both myself and a close colleague who also knew him.
I didn't know until reading Howard's obituary that we are both passionate Blues supporters and it saddens me that I didn't know this before as our conversations would have been even more lively.
RIP Howard, you will be sadly missed.

In loving memory of Howard James Gray who sadly passed away on 1st May 2019 at Glenfield Hospital in Leicestershire.
Howard's death has been a complete shock to the whole family and was very unexpected. Howard was the transport for his grandson Hayden for his weekly football training and all football matches. On Wednesday 1st May, Hayden and his team (Market Bosworth) had got through to a semi-final match when Howard felt ill and collapsed.
The cause of death was Ischaemic Valvular and Hypertensive Heart Disease and family were told by the coroner that he would not have known he had this condition as it is very difficult to diagnose and were no symptons that gave the family any indication that he had this heart condition. Instead of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, Howard's family would very much appreciate it if you would consider a memorial donation to the British Heart Foundation. If you would like to make a donation in Howard's memory, please use the button above.
However you knew Howard, you will know he was a quick witted, loving, warm and gentle man who would do anything for anyone, especially his family. So protective of his family, he was generous and loyal and will be missed more than we can say. One of his biggest pleasures in life was football, in particular his lifelong support for Birmingham City Football Club of which both grandson's will no doubt continue with this support on his behalf.
Howard and Gwen set up their own business in 1989 called Logo Promotions selling promotional merchanise. Over these 30 years of having the business Howard and Gwen have made many close friends (suppliers and customers) within the promotional gift business including times of being able to employ both of their children, Leah and Ben.
Some of you may be aware that Howard and Gwen lost their son in a motorcycle accident 9 years ago and we find comfort in the fact that Howard will be buried with Ben at Thornton Church Graveyard on 20th May 2019.
After the burial we will be going to Market Bosworth Football Club for refreshments and a chance to get together with friends and family, and share memories of Howard.
