Having found a kindred spirit in Alison at primary school and remaining good friends to this day, my memories of Lynda come first through the eyes of childhood, as a wonderfully attentive and practical mother, and then via more recent recollections of Lynda's kind-hearted nature and keen sense of humour. I feel very privileged to have had the opportunity to get to know the woman beyond the wonderfully attentive and practical mother, and will miss the smile and warmth that always greeted me at the door, despite my unplanned arrival; both Lynda and John are the most gracious of folk I like and respect because of this.
I will always remember Lynda with fondness as a straightforward lady, with strong values and a heart of gold, and the strength of character to withstand the lovelorn rantings of not one, but two silly girls desperately infatuated with first New Kids on the Block and then Take That.
All my love, Claire xxx
