Such fond memories of Major Meeke who always looked after me, made me laugh and gave me sweets on the football and rugby pitch when I had to play games with the boys. You made my time at Ravenswood so much more enjoyable.

Very sad to hear of his passing. Its amazing that I still write things now and suddenly realise that he would have disapproved of my poor use of the English language, so I change them. I can't think of another teacher who has had such a long lasting influence on me. He will be missed but his legacy lives on in all of those he taught.

A wonderful teacher with a good sense of humour. He was a welcome light in the somewhat darkness of my bordering at stoodleigh.
I remember him well and wish I had caught up with him in later years to voice my thanks.
Firm but fair, I can imagine him scouring at the dismal use of the English language I display here today, while I try to honor the light he brought to so many who did not find the time to thank him enough.

So very sad to learn of Major Meeke's passing. A truly lovely man who was such a support and inspirational role model in my early years as a pupil at Ravenswood.
