In loving memory of Mark Horbury who sadly passed away on 11th April 2019. Mark was a hardworking family man who was devoted to his wife Lynda, and sons George and Harry. Mark loved his football following Coventry City and England his whole life. Mark went to Manor Park Primary school and then following on his education at Whitley Abbey Secondary School. Mark started out as an apprentice at Rolls Royce Ansty and then transferred to Derby and served more than 28 years with the company. Mark and Lynda enjoyed their day trips down to London with a few beers and a few check in’s on Facebook for everyone to see. We will miss the CCFC check in’s at the Ricoh and the away day posts. As a family we had enjoyed many holidays from when the boys were little in Woolacoombe to some wonderful holidays in the ‘reef’. Mark was so caring and loyal. It is with deep sadness that he was taken from us suddenly following a short illness. He will be missed by all that knew him and his legacy will live on through George and Harry.

I have many happy memories of days gone by with you at Cov matches and lads holidays.

You were a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Loyal, dignified and a great family man.

Rest in peace my friend.

Lynda, George & Harry,

I worked along side Mark for many years at RR Ansty on the RTM. I am so very sorry for your loss. He was so lovely and always spoke of you all often, he loved and adored you all. My deepest condolences, I hope these words bring you some comfort at such a sad and painful time for you all. He will remain forever with you, this I’m sure.

Deepest condolences

Gemma Fellows
