In loving memory of Ann Abernethy who sadly passed away on 31st March 2019

Born Ann Smith in Middlesbrough November 14th 1937.
Loving wife to James Abernethy, Married Friday June 4th 1982.
Mother to Mervyn Chadwick, Darren Chadwick, Loraine Jones, Patricia Hartley & Fiona Abernethy.
Nan to Anthony Chadwick, Claire Chadwick, Paul Jones, Emma Jones, Sarah Jones & Laura Hartley.
Great Grandma to Lily Chadwick & Logan Chadwick.

Ann lived a long and happy life, she was a full time parent, veteran of the Army, hard worker & tough cookie.
She loved crime fiction and would love nothing more than sitting with a sweet cup of tea with her head in a book. Lover of soap operas she would never miss an episode of Corrie or Emmerdale. She had a wicked sense of humour and was an incredibly private person.

Generous to a fault, Ann would do anything for her children, her oldest four children have lead successful lives, full of love and grandchildren. Her youngest Fiona would definitely not have had the confidence to have travelled the world on many adventures without her mothers constant encouragement and support. They spoke on the phone even day, those phone calls will be painfully missed.

She was constant companion & best friend of Jim they never fought or argued with each other. They were each others second marriage, but it was a once in a life time love. When Jim fell ill, she was by his side nursing him better and for the last few years of her life Jim was there next to her devoting all his energy and love to caring for her.
They adored each other and Jim will miss her every moment of every day until they meet again.

We would love hear memories of Ann or pictures you would like to share.
