We are devastated to tell you that our lovely wife and mum passed away on Friday 5 April.

For the last few years, she has faced everything thrown at her with the utmost courage and strength – never wavering from being the beautiful, caring and kind woman we all love.

After a tough couple of months, we were able to spend Mother’s Day with her before she finally returned home. She had the chance to enjoy some of her favourite things and a long-awaited night in her own bed – but we wish she had more time and was able to see all of the people who loved her. We know that she was thinking of you all.

We also know that Cindy took great strength and heart from everyone who was on her side during the unfair and untimely battle she faced. As a family, we are so grateful for that.

Cindy’s funeral will take place at 12.15pm on Monday 29th April at Honor Oak Crematorium.

The address is as follows:
Brockley Way
London
SE4 2LW

Following her funeral, there will be a celebration of Cindy’s life at Rowhill Grange, from 3pm.

For anyone wishing to honour our beloved wife and mum, she requested charitable donations to Leukaemia UK in lieu of flowers.

Leukaemia UK enabled King’s College hospital to provide Cindy with treatment, support and comfort during her battle with cancer. To donate, please visit her personal fundraising page: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/cindy-lucas

  • Cindy was a very warm, caring and wonderful lady. I recall the very first time we met, she was so friendly and always smiling. The last few years had been very tough, but she showed such courage. She was an inspiration to so many and will be greatly missed. xx
