So saddened to hear about the passing of Trevor. He was such a talented teacher and beloved colleague who supported and inspired me so much in my formative years as a teacher at Bruntcliffe. Thinking of all the family, especially Joyce at such a difficult time.

Sending our most heartfelt condolences. Frances was thrilled to have bumped into Joyce and Trevor at Newcastle Theatre Royal not so long ago. He made us all feel like stars but he was the one who shone the brightest. Good night, God Bless xx

Really sorry to hear the sad news of Trevors passing, what an amazing person to have spent time with, an inspiration. I have fond memories of working with Trevor and Joyce from my 7 years at Bruntcliffe High School, he always had just the right way of putting things. I was planning on coming to the service, but family circumstances mean I cant now make it.

Dear Joyce and family, I was deeply shocked and saddened at the news of Trevor’s passing. I worked with Trevor for many years until I moved from Bruntcliffe to Hornsea in 1991, and have many fond and happy memories of him as a teacher and friend. He was inspirational as a teacher, both to his students, and to other teachers: I gained many ideas just from observing his drama sessions. I also enjoyed many hours in his company out of school relaxing with a beer or two. Unfortunately, I am unable to attend the funeral, but my thoughts will be with you, and I send my sincere condolences to you and his family. Mike Priest.

I have just heard the very sad news that Mr Perry has passed. He was truly one of the most inspiring teachers I knew and without his patience and passion for his subject I would never have achieved my English O levels. I now am a teacher and always try to go the extra mile to make a ‘small’ difference to my pupils - I had a good role model to learn from.
My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Still lost for words. But, I like to think that you’ve now passed to the other side to create a show group for all of us there too. Get writing that script Mr. Perry. You have a while before auditions start so I’ll begin to dust off my dancing shoes.
Weirdly I moved house a few weeks ago and I found the book of poems I wrote when I was about 15 (I think you were the only one to read them all) the first one I remember writing for you and giving to you. It was called ‘My Inspiration’ I read it and it was like I'd only written it the day before. I knew it word for word. I hope you know that you made so many years of my life unbelievably great. You will always be my inspiration.
Make that script a good one!
Sleep tight and I’ll see you soon xxx

You wiill be missed by many Trevor, Always planning and thinking. I'm thinking of Trevors Family at this time . My heart goes out to you All.

I can never say enough about this wonderful man who gave me so much. His friendship I will never forget, his mentorship and values he gave me for life will stay with me forever. His talent as director was unmatched as he inspired a whole generation of kids to love drama music dancing and singing bringing so much joy in to the world. As a team we put on some great shows together. He created a back stage team of former pupils who just felt part of the show group family and (the Perry} family. So it is with one last sunny brunny wave that I say cheers TP thanks for everything.
