Funeral Director
In loving memory of Lynne Milne who sadly passed away on 5th February 2019.
Born in Fiji and raised in New Zealand, Lynne travelled the world and had many great adventures, living a full and happy life, but heartbreakingly taken from this world too soon. Lynne leaves behind her Mother, Nala, in New Zealand, Daughter Patsy, son-in-law Tim and grandsons Josh (6) and Max (4). Lynne found a second chance of love in later life with her partner Vincent, who will miss her deeply. Lynne was the eldest of 5 children, and will be greatly missed by her sister Allison and brothers Bruce, Mark and Ian, and their children, her beloved nieces and nephews.
She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Please feel free to share any photo's and memories of Lynne on this site.
Lynne was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2018, and had a successful operation to remove the tumour in October. Sadly, the tumour returned and Lynne was diagnosed again in January 2019.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday 26th February at 12pm in the West Chapel, Southend Crematorium, Sutton Road, Southend-on-Sea, SS2 5PX. This will be followed by drinks at The Mews, 2 Nelson Mews, Southend-on-Sea, SS1 1AL (there is a large car park next to The Mews which is accessed from Clarence Road) .
Flowers are of course welcome at the funeral, but it was Lynne's wish to be able to raise money for research into this awful disease. Pancreatic Cancer is difficult to diagnose as the symptoms are often similar to other illnesses and the tumours are hard to detect, so research into earlier detection of the disease is crucial to help future sufferers and their families. Should you wish to donate to the Pancreatic Cancer UK charity, you can do so through this website and there will also be a donation box at the funeral.
