To Brian's family, as you probably know he taught me everything I needed to know when it came to planning lorries. We would sit there, on a night shift, ignoring all rules about smoking and getting through a fair few fags between us. I have nothing but fond memories of Brian and was only thinking about him recently and thought I would check the newspaper. I know how much he loved Margaret, he would speak of her so very fondly and was made up when Melvin came to work at the brewery. "Our Bridge" always came with a comment about being stunning. Brian loved a good story and giving a run down on how well they were keeping the beer in the Oak & Ivy at that time. Sending much love to Brian's family, I am only sad that I have seen this a little too late to pay my respects to a lovely man. RIP Peggy, lots of love "Olive" xxx

Sorry to hear that Brian has passed away. I first new him when I started at Pirelli Accounts as a 16 year old in 1965. H was always there to help and give you advice. He loved most sports but especially tennis, or the "refreshments" afterwards. He adored his two children and told everyone they were the best children ever, Melvyn for his football and Bridget for her looks. Sometimes Margaret would get a mention along the line. In later life it was a pleasure to have a drink with him in the Oak and Ivy. RIP Peggy.
