In loving memory of Robert Horstead who sadly passed away on 26th January 2019

Robert was a loving man, husband, father, step-father, son, brother, uncle and much more.

He was a very popular guy at work and on the bowling green and always had a joke to hand or advice to offer if needed. Always looking out for everyone.

He battled for 10 months with bowel cancer, spreading to his lungs and liver and even with a secondary brain tumour. He was always ready to fight this awful illness every step of the way. He never gave up.

We came together later on in life and had just over 12 years together. It would have been our 10th Wedding Anniversary this year and, knowing Robert as you do, plans were well under way to celebrate this come what may.

I love and miss you so much my dear husband but know that you have to fight no more and that you can be at peace. Always in my heart
Your loving wife Carole xx

Just read this about rob and was shocked to find out he had passed away ! Great memories of working with him at British Gas Croydon in the early nineties as he was the most funniest head chef I ever worked for ! I will never forget the Macc Ladds punk concert we went to which was a crazy night !! Great football days out too!! Although hadn’t seen rob for years shows what a great character he was as would have wished I could have met back up with him for a beer and chat !! Not many characters like him any more !!! R.I.P Rob .

Robert will be sadly missed on the bowing green. I loved being on his rink - he always made everyone laugh and he was a pleasure to bowl with.
