Brian Verrall (9 Sep 1938 - 14 Jan 2019)

In loving memory of Brian Verrall who sadly passed away on 14th January 2019.
Brian was born on 9th September 1938 in Bexhill on Sea to parents Cecil George and Enid Verrall.
Brian’s siblings are Jean, Barbara & Leonard.
As a child Brian liked to spend time with Auntie Sym in Bournemouth & also enjoyed time with his father Cecil at the family butchers shop. In Brian’s childhood he suffered a serious scold and was treated by the famous Sir Archibald McIndoe CBE a pioneering plastic surgeon who worked for the RAF in WW2.
Brian attended Downs secondary school his best friends were David & Colin Wate.
Brian served with the RAF from 1952-1956 and from there he joined John Players in Nottingham where he met June Bradbury, they married in 1963 and had four children Paula, Lorraine, Stuart & Sarah.
Brian moved away to Cornwall in 1992 where he married Kathleen Anne Saxton, who sadly passed away in December 2016.
After Kathleen’s passing, Brian moved to Jubilee House Care Home in Nottingham where he made friends with staff and residents spending time knitting & solving puzzles, and was affectionately known as the BFG.
