In loving memory of Anne Ludlam, special mum and Nanna, who sadly passed away at Royal Derby Hospital on the 14th January 2019 just after 04:00.
Born on the 23rd June 1949 to Ernest and Violet Salt, Anne grew up in and around the Ripley (Derbyshire) area and loved nothing more than being with her friends and family. Anne started off her education at St Johns Infant School up until the age of 11 before going to Benjamin Outram School.
Anne left school at the age of 15 and started her first job in July 1964 at Blounts Hosiery Factory. Over the years Anne continued in the hosiery industry and worked at Aristoc's (Courtaulds Group) up until it's closure in 2016.
In 1972 Anne's first child arrived (Lisa) followed by her son (Stephen) in 1975, Anne was a proud and loving mum. Anne loved nothing more than spending time with her family and most of all seeing her grandchildren (Jake, Ripley, Tilly and Caleb) who she cherished more than anything.
Over the years, Anne also ran a small market stall on Ripley (Derbyshire) market as, as well as working at the Co-op.
The thing that was closest to Anne's heart was her friends, Anne made many special friends at work and socially and enjoyed nothing more than meeting up with the 'girls' for coffee and catch-up and shopping. She also loved to go on her holidays with her family and special - visiting many places such as Peru, USA (LA, California, Las Vegas), China, Australia, Croatia and many holiday resorts in the UK.
Anne loved the outdoors and wildlife which she built up a special love with the animals that frequented her garden, especially the hedgehogs (who she pampered with their own little hedgehog house).
Anne was a battler and in November 2015 Anne's battle with cancer began and she never stopped fighting all the way through her treatments.
On the 14 January 2019 at 04:15 Anne sadly passed away in Royal Derby Hospital leaving a tremendous void in her friends and family's lives.
Rest in peace mum, love you always x
