In loving memory of John Frederick Lewis Davie (Johnny Davie), age 88, who died at Southend University Hospital on January 7th, 2019. John was born on 20th May, 1930 in Eastbourne. John moved to London as a young man, and in 1956 married Audrey Ruth Ward. They were married for 62 years. John was a carpenter & joiner and exhibition stand fitter before retiring. John was a former championship amateur boxer and avid fisherman and Arsenal fan. He is survived by his wife, Audrey, their daughter, Sue, their son, Neil, four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The funeral will take place at Southend Crematorium (South Chapel) Sutton Road, Southend-on-Sea, SS2 5PX on Wednesday, January 30th at 12.20 p.m.
Following the service John’s family warmly invite you for refreshments at Ocean Beach, Eastern Esplanade, Southend, SS1 2YG
