In loving memory of Mike Walsh who sadly passed away on 27th December 2018.

If you wish to pay your respects the funeral details are listed on the bottom right of this page, please also wear something with colour, a nice bright tie or scarf for example, not too much black!

Please no flowers as the family would prefer donations to the 2 chosen charities, Macmillan Cancer Support who were a lot of support during the last year or the Danetre Hospital where he spent the last few weeks and where he was cared for brilliantly.

Malcolm Viner donated in memory of Mike

Proud to have known you. One of life’s true good guys. Sadly missed.

So very sad to hear the news. Our thoughts are with the family and will remember Mike as a true friend and colleague, someone who was always there when you needed advice and support. The days of the National Account team will always be remembered not just for the business but the fun and games we had but don't tell Martyn ! RIP - Stephen, Ali and family

Mike, you leave us with many happy memories from the past 35 years. Great times at WSM PTA, messing about in boats, running the streets of Wisbech at silly o’clock on a winter’s morning and more recently, trying to last the afternoon witihout getting too drunk before our evening meal at one of our WSM annual reunions!
Mike you were a true friend, a generous and willing volunteer and above all a gentleman.
Go safely, dear friend. We will miss you but never forget.

It was a privilege getting to know Mike relatively late on in his ICI career. He was a fantastic mentor and friend during our time launching ASA in the UK. His zest for life, family and fun will live on in all those who were lucky enough to know him.

Dear Jan and family,
In behalf of my husband and myself we would like to convey our condolences to the loss of your husband. We wish you much strength in the coming period and hope that Nick, Marieke, Max and Keet will give a lot of consolation during this difficult time.
We hope that with this contribution, however small, this will help our children and grandchildren be saved from this disease.
Again we send a lot of strength and sweet greetings.

All of us at AkzoNobel are saddened and so very sorry for the loss of Mike.

In a long and distinguished career over many years with ICI Paints/AkzoNobel, Mike not only made a major contribution to the success of the business, but also made a great impact upon those he worked with. He was highly respected by customers, colleagues and his team members for the professionalism, example and integrity he always showed.

Although Mike retired several years ago, his friendly and approachable character is remembered with great fondness and everyone that knew him will miss him.

On behalf of everyone at AkzoNobel I would like to express deepest sympathy to Mike's family.

Regards,
Alistair
