Eulogy poem for Brian by Becky.
I write at Winter Solstice
A week after you passed
The trees have lost their leaves now
They're softening on the grass
And when again the snowdrops
Begin to reappear
Recall those leaves that fed them
At this darkest time of year
For life it runs in circles
You're never really gone
You live on in my memory
You're in the trees reborn
For at this time of moonlight
I've had more time to see
The joy you brought into my life
And what you mean to me
So as is due, the winter frosts
Will surely melt away
Your precious woods will green again
As jays and squirrels play
The catkins dance on tepid breeze
The blackbird sings out strong
You walk through bluebells by my side
You were with me all along.
