In loving memory of John Henry Sheppard who sadly passed away on 3rd December 2018...
John was born on 15th January 1939 to Dorothy (Dolly) & John (Jack) Sheppard he had a sister dorothy,who he always called sister john also had his DNA done for his daughter Emma for research of the family tree john is only 55% English..
john was a very typical lads lad and always into trouble he went to a school where he would stay and not allowed home.for weekends, but he learnt he enjoyed sports or have a play around on the fields with the lads... a very mischievous is dad always playing you up or to seek a reaction.. once dorothy his sister use to sleep in the attic with john those days people would often ram a family into one room ,and it was always dark and cold johnny would scratch his nails on the floor to which dorothy would be scared and he would say the rats are coming... and find it amusing dot would react ...
His parents separated john went on to have more children adding siblings to my dad john Henry and Dorothy ,sister syliva snd later he went on to have Mary...
his devoted mother dolly would visit every weekend to see her son john the bond they had was amazing.. she would take the bus and on days would take one of his best friends John with her (ginger nuts as dad called him ) they had some great times.. they lived on park lane where both his mother and John's would have cups of tea together... so john and ginger would always get up to things..
John loved his mother and had a fantastic bond with her one no one could get between.. every night after her passing he would wish her goodnight...
He worked as a dustman and never drank or smoked was quiet s healthy man..he loved maro Lanza, cow boys and Indians calamity jane, john Wayne, seven brides for seven brothers where some of his favourites..would always pull out a cow boy hat and gun ..or start singing ..loved Britain's Britain's got talent the xfactor and would always ring to let u kmow it was on TV. .he was a very talented man always making his shelves he once tried to teach his son john how to use a drill but john ended up drilling into his jumper ha ha.. he taught me how to drill also and how to screw nails to how to slice the wood up... dolls beds , bird cadges, gates there was nothing this man could not fix... he would love when his grandson kye would visit the place they would be is in the shed making cutting designing.... dad loved to pass on his talent ... getting everyine involved that was dad..
On holidays he would enjoy his breakfasts with his grandson Elliott and then ride on his scooter to the beach for their morning stroll.. he really was an important man in our lives ..
He met a lovely lady by the name of Joan who he had his first child Donald Duck dad would say., Donald is very kind and considerate man just like dad always thinks highly of his family and had a very special relationship he would take Donald and his partner Jane on camping trips and would often visit them for Sunday dinners... i rememver once dad took me (emma) to visit and we had this massive teddybear he was taking it to his grandchildren steven and catherine... he loved to spoil with gifts he craved the smiles His last visit off cat and don he loved said it was beautiful and one of the most loved feelings he had felt in a long time....
He married Brenda who he had four children with Julie, John , Debbie and Mark... Dad would love his little camping trips and enjoyed many trips away and having fun... he would always try help with his hidden treasures for all his grandchildren... and his own children...
I would also like to thank Abbie and taylor for showing strength and courage grandad was very proud of you both and I'm glad u both and your mum got to see him at home lots of love to u both xx
He later married Janet who he had another daughter Emma .... (Me)
John would no matter what make sure he saw everyone of his children on a weekly base he would love to stalk the phone just to see if you where ok... but no matter always told me he loved me and if I was in tears he would state make friends not enemies.... that I dont need people like that in my life... my dad Shep taught me life and family matters.that no person on this planet is any different to me or any other person n to never give up.. he tried he bothered he never gave up..he taught me to never give up .. he was and will always be my hero... he taught me life skills how to paint how to speak up and i want to thank his partner Pauline who was with him for many years who knew my daddy best.. she cared for him, cleaned, fed, clothed, provided love... she was always there... pauline meant alot to my dad would always speak of how she is a good woman and he be lost without her ... he would always state how no matter what he wants pauline to be happy and i would like to thank Pauline for all the years i love you so very much and dad did also... you have very special memories and shared so many tales.... but thank you
I would like to thank everyone who knew my dad and he loved his little jokes one being shaking hands with adam he would wither never let go or poke his nose and stick his tounge out...
Luke I also want to thank you for being a stronger part of me for always showing me there is respect there is comfort and you have proven to be someone I can rely on and having dad and Luke have the banter they did pleases me always used to joke about was typical dad..
He would make fart contests with me and john who used to have alot of wind but he couldnt decide with stunk more ha ha...
Another time me and megan needed a lift to our pole dancing lesson and dads car was rammed with his hidden treasure of that day and johnny was also in car we all squeezed in his car johnny stuck at the back wedged behind a table and chairs and me and meg trying not to get stuck on the gear stuck and handbrake we laughed so much.. again typical dad...
I would also like to thank curly he appreciated all your help and visits and for looking after pauline ..
He would love to moan about us not eating or having enough vegetables it's not now it's when your older he would say knowing I have the sugar drug just like he did cakes , a bit of grease he loves it and always froze his chocolate in the fridge he couldnt stand soft chocolate ...
Every week he brought me eggs milk dog meat and he loved my dogs they would flock like he was their God ha ha .. my cat once even stole his hat off his head 🤣🤣 never a dry eye with shep
The love bond between john and and himself was strong to it they bantered and had many giggles and gags once he came to mine to visit and he has wet on his joggers we joked which we was able to do we had a fantastic bond and father son love u can never forget... he loved u john xxx
He also loved to go to the chippy and grab his chest as he asked for his bit of chicken n fish he shared many giggles with many people he was a very popular man with a special gift of life one with the brightest light n strongest iv ever seen..
he did make many mistakes but he would also not be afraid to state that did,
he lived ,he learned... he loved and welcomed everyone, i lost my hero my bestfriend but he is me i am him and forever he will live on within me within his children and our children.
my soul forever will along with my heart bleed untill we meet again and im in your arms giggling ,i miss u so much u used to call lacey your angel now your hers ...
