Judy and I were close friends after she came to Cheadle County Grammar School in 1958. We both enjoyed sport and took part in school netball and athletics teams until we left school in 1963. Judy was a very good swimmer and we spent many happy hours at the open air pool near to her home in Bramhall. On one occasion I remember, we took our GCE revision books there to look at while we sunbathed! We lost touch for many years, but more recently visited each other and caught up with what was happening in our lives. Judy had a great sense of humour and I wish we had been able to visit each other more often.
It was a great shock to hear of her passing.
