Dear Helen & Alice,
I am unaware if Graham ever mentioned my name but I am a old school friend who enjoyed many years of fund with him and his family in Liverpool. We joined the police together in 1974. However, Graham left during our training and joined the Fire Service. We keep in touch as best as we could and on occasions I would meet up with him and his father at Anfield when I was working as the 'Match' Detective. Graham made contact with me via Friends United a few years ago & we exchanged memories of our early days in Liverpool. Unfortunately, we lost contract again. It was a total shock that whilst researching the web in order to link up again that I discovered that he had past away last November .
I wish to sent my condolence to you and Alice and reiterate what a great person he was and even though we hadn't seen each other for years I live with memory that we were friends. I should also add that the 26 November is my birthday!!
Yours,
Clive Myerscough

Saddened to hear of the loss of a loving father to alice and husband to Helen. I worked with Graham for 8 years Until February this year. He was a firm and fair headmaster. As a colleague he would make me laugh most days with his quick and witty one liners. A caring man who always had time to give help and advice and was a great man to work with. Taken too soon, with fondest memories

It deeply saddens me to hear this news about Graham. A loving husband to Helen and a doting father to Alice, I can barely imagine what a loss his departure from this life is for his family. I was one of the lucky ones to have worked with & for Graham on the longest job of my career. Those 5 years never felt long; his support, his care, his guidance, his kindess and not to forget his quirky sense of humour. You will be sadly missed, boss! Rest in peace. Tika & Family

I was shocked to hear of Graham’s death. We worked together at West Notts College but we were more than work colleagues. Graham was a good friend who was always supportive and to be relied on.
I wish I had made an effort to keep in touch because even over such a span of time he is sadly missed by myself and Patricia.

  • I also worked with Graham at West Notts College in the eighties. He had a refined sense of humour and I loved to be in his company especially when we were on training courses. It is with great sadness that I have learnt of his passing. Seddon Platts
