In loving memory of Beryl Henry who sadly passed away on 16th November 2018
Beryl grew up during the 2nd world war. She married her beloved Arthur, and they lived firstly, in Kingston on Thames, then in Worcester Park, where they brought up their children.
Beryl was a whizz with numbers so worked for many years with John Laing construction company in the pay roll dept. Beryl’s talents expressed themselves in cooking, dressmaking, knitting, cross-stitch, and in her later years she took up bowls. Following retirement, she and Arthur enjoyed some wonderful years together, enjoying their grandchildren, and taking holidays to cruise through Europe, to Russia, Germany, France, Norway and Sweden.
Following Arthur’s death 10 years ago, Beryl moved to Warren Court and really enjoyed establishing new friendships and weekly get togethers over afternoon tea and Canasta. She was intrepid on her mobility scooter especially when M and S opened in Ashtead, when her heart problems would no longer allow her to walk.
Our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful district nurses, and specialist nurse from Princess Alice Hospice for enabling Beryl to be cared for at her home in her last days surrounded by the love of her family.
