Peter Attree (16 Mar 1933 - 13 Nov 2018)

Peter Attree was a wonderful man, a devoted Husband and loving Dad, Grandad and Great Grandad. He was one of nine brothers, the seventh son to Sydney and Bessie Attree. He married Elizabeth Attree on 9th August 1958, and they were blessed to celebrate their Diamond Anniversary this year. He lives on in his two Daughters; Susan and Judith, four Grandchildren; David, Esther, Daniel And Matthew, and two Great Grandchildren; Daniel and Noah.

He was the bookmakers best buddy, an avid palce fan (for all his sins) and a sweet treat fanatic. He loved his garden and no one has managed to grow runner beans like him. But most of all, he loved us children. He made the most wonderful Father Christmas, and is the most magical man we know. In the words of Tina Turner, he was “Simply the Best”!

Although this was the kindest thing for him, this is the hardest thing for us as a family.
