I have been kindly contacted by Zahir. I’m numb to be honest. I have great memories of Steve as he lived a stones throw from me (Langdale Road). One of the funniest guys I know. We used to play dead arms, first one to give up lost. My arms still hurt lol. I remember going on a school trip with him to Oakland’s Mill and losing my lunch and Steve giving me half of his. Steve was a great guy with an infectious sense of humour and a great laugh.

Always remembered Never forgotten. X

I met Steve just the once when he showed so much care and attention to my brother who is in a wheel chair due to Parkinson’s. I thought him to be a kind, gentle soul who thought of others, and would put himself out to be of help when needed. A sad loss. Sending heartfelt wishes to his family.

I only knew Steve for a short time at Ingram High School, but from what I remember of him - he was a top lad

He was excited about attending the Ingram Reunion next week, and we will be raising a glass in his memory!

The Homeless Action Resource Project is a lovely charity - thank you for choosing that in honour of Steve

Steve we go back years. To our early days at Winterbourne School, sleepovers in Wiltshire Road and then Ashurton Avenue. Where have all those years gone? We would usually end up throwing darts at each other in the dark. First one to scream lost.... We played football together for years. School and Alpha. Joanne shouting at us for being a pair of idiots, or telling our parents when we got into mischief. Which was quite frequent. You will be missed terribly Steve, but whatever was hurting you can hurt no more. Sleep peacefully buddy. My thoughts are with you Joanne, Jaydon and Erica. xx

steve, my only ‘boy’ cousin and what cousin to be blessed with!
Cheeky n mischievous from childhood to adulthood. You was one of the funniest, quick witted men I have ever come across.
Never forget nearly peeing myself laughing at one of your requests....
“Lesa, can I park my car on your drive pls? I’ve got community service in the church up by you and I’ve got no tax” 🤣
And jo running in doors shouting “mum, Steve’s eating sweets dropped on the pavement again” 🤣
Your dance moves were legendary, no point in getting on the dance floor when Steve’s on it, he’d make u look like you had 10 left feet.

You have left a gaping great hole on earth and in our hearts Steve that can never b filled but I feel blessed to have known you all your life.

Love you always cuz 💖💖💖

Ps I can see Steve up there reading this and saying “bit deep ain’t it”
